Natural Woman unveils the psychological hurdles that Women of Color experience as a result of deciding to wear their hair natural. The film works to unpack the concept of identity to demonstrate how a complex identity of self-deprecation has arisen around hair texture and its alteration in African Americans. A panel discussion, with the film producer and KU students (men and women), will follow the film.
