Research Administration 101: A Guide to the Administration of Sponsored Projects at KU (Workshop)

This 10-week intramural course (Wednesdays through November 10) is designed to help educate campus administrators and staff about the management of externally-sponsored grants and contracts. It addresses a wide range of issues related to research projects, including submitting grant proposals, award spending and monitoring, intellectual property issues, the responsible conduct of research, and how research funding is measured at KU. Each session focuses on a specific topic or topics. The course also provides an excellent opportunity to develop contacts with people from a number of departments and disciplines across campus. Members of the university community who complete the course receive a certificate of completion, and their participation will be noted in their personnel files.
